Watch: Red Velvet's Irene And Shin Seung Ho Head Toward Their Dreams Together In "Double Patty" Trailer

Red Velvet’s Irene and Shin Seung Ho’s upcoming film “Double Patty” has released its main trailer!

“Double Patty” is a coming-of-age film about young people chasing their dreams and embarking on a relatable journey of growth and development. Irene stars as Lee Hyun Ji, an aspiring anchorwoman who works tirelessly to achieve her dream, while Shin Seung Ho plays Kang Woo Ram, a former ssireum (Korean wrestling) athlete.

The latest trailer starts with Irene being tested on reading news aloud and getting cut off by a judge, who asks her sternly, “Do you even understand what you’re talking about?” At the same time, Shin Seung Ho loses a match and finds himself stuck in a slump, with someone asking him, “Is it that bad? You can’t be rehabilitated?”

At this low point in both their lives, they meet each other for the first time at Irene’s part-time job in a fast food restaurant. Shin Seung Ho can’t take his eyes off Irene, and when he gives himself a bloody nose by accidentally walking into a wall, she takes him out for a drink to drown their sorrows.

As their relationship deepens, Irene gives Shin Seung Ho the courage to go after his dreams of wrestling again, while Irene takes heart from his steady encouragement and his steadfast belief that she can pass her exams if she works hard. Things start to look up for the two characters as they practice, prepare, and head toward their dreams. “Together?” Shin Seung Ho asks, and Irene affirms, “Yes. Let’s go together.”
