S.E.S.'s Eugene Gears Up For Revenge In Season 2 Of "The Penthouse"

SBS’s “The Penthouse” is getting fans even more hyped for Season 2!

On February 4, the smash hit drama gave viewers their first glimpse of S.E.S.’s Eugene in character from the highly-anticipated second season.

On the first season of “The Penthouse,” Eugene’s character Oh Yoon Hee became increasingly caught up in her own greed and ambition as she strove to enter the highest ranks of society. After realizing that she was the one who had murdered Shim Soo Ryeon (Lee Ji Ah)’s daughter Min Seol Ah (Jo Soo Min), Oh Yoon Hee desperately attempted to cover up the incident. She even went on to betray her friend by teaming up with Joo Dan Te (played by Uhm Ki Joon) and urging him to get rid of his wife.

However, just when Oh Yoon Hee had finally changed her mind and decided to confess to her crime, she was framed by Joo Dan Te for Shim Soo Ryeon’s murder. The season finale ended on a suspenseful cliffhanger, with Logan Lee (played by Park Eun Suk) angrily confronting Oh Yoon Hee after helping her escape the authorities—and Oh Yoon Hee showing her repentance by stabbing herself in the throat and falling unconscious.

In the newly released sneak peek from the upcoming second season, Oh Yoon Hee looks gaunt and uncharacteristically unkempt. The light seems to be gone from her eyes, and she has a weary, beaten-down look about her that contrasts sharply to her strong, unfailingly confident aura from the first season. Notably, her signature bob has also grown out, signaling the passage of time.
