The cast of KBS 2TV’s “River Where the Moon Rises” shared what viewers should look forward to in the drama’s premiere!

A reinterpretation of a classic Goguryeo folk tale, “River Where the Moon Rises” will tell the famous love story of Princess Pyeonggang (played Kim So Hyun) and On Dal (played by Ji Soo).

With only a day left until the premiere, the main cast revealed the key points that viewers should be paying attention to. Kim So Hyun began by pointing to the interesting life of her character, Princess Pyeonggang. She shared, “I think it will be fun to compare and contrast how the Pyeonggang of ‘River Where the Moon Rises’ differs from the Pyeonggang of the Goguryeo folk tale. Also keep an eye out for how her dual life as a warrior and a princess comes into play.”

Kim So Hyun asked for viewers’ support as she added, “‘River Where the Moon Rises’ is a production that represents a new challenge for me, as it’s my first attempt at action in a historical drama. I’ll focus and do my very best until the end, so please look forward to it.”

Ji Soo, who stars as the foolish but gallant general On Dal, also noted his character’s growth as a point of interest and continued, “There are also plenty of other interesting points, such as On Dal and Pyeonggang’s love story, the power struggle in the palace, and the various stories of the characters.”

Lee Ji Hoon plays Go Geon, a top elite general of Goguryeo. He shared, “The way that the four main characters head toward love and their beliefs will be something to look out for. We’re working hard at filming so I hope everyone looks forward to it and tunes in to the drama.”

Choi Yoo Hwa, who plays the enchanting Hae Mo Yong, selected the compelling script as a key point of interest. She commented, “‘River Where the Moon Rises’ is a drama where each and every line carries a deep meaning. I think that in addition to being entertained by this drama, the viewers will also be moved. I hope we all can get immersed in it together.”

“River Where the Moon Rises” premieres on February 15 at 9:30 p.m. KST and will be available on Viki.
