Watch: "The Penthouse 2" Stars Tease Big Changes And Shocking Twists In Sneak Peek Of Season 2

SBS’s “The Penthouse 2” has shared an exciting new sneak peek!

In a fun video that features glimpses of the new season ahead, the stars of “The Penthouse” dish on what viewers can look forward to in the highly-anticipated second season of the wildly popular drama.

After opening with a flashback from the finale of the first season, the clip launches into a sneak peek of Cheon Seo Jin (Kim So Yeon)’s and Joo Dan Te (Uhm Ki Joon)’s children forming an unhappy family at the dinner table. As the formerly adulterous couple is now openly dating, Cheon Seo Jin and her daughter Ha Eun Byul (Choi Ye Bin) are dining together at the home of Joo Dan Te and his children, Joo Seok Hoon (Kim Young Dae) and Joo Seok Kyung (Han Ji Hyun).

Describing his character’s motivations, Uhm Ki Joon says, “It’s about what I must gain. Not love, but the things I must gain.”

Meanwhile, Choi Ye Bin ominously points out that the situation is a difficult one for her character because of Ha Eun Byul’s feelings for Joo Seok Hoon. “Even if we become family members, I don’t need to pretend to get along with Seok Kyung. But when it comes to Seok Hoon, the moment that we become family, my love can never become a reality.” She adds with a meaningful smile, “So I have to avoid [becoming family] no matter what.”

Kim Young Dae chimes in, “There has become a chance that Eun Byul’s and my families might become one. It’s a huge deal, and I think it will become a big obstacle in [my relationship] with Ro Na.”

Han Ji Hyun adds, “The situation is infuriating for Seok Kyung, and if she has to live with Ha Eun Byul—whom she passionately hates—she might explode with anger and destroy everything around her.”

In contrast to her desperate desire to keep their parents from marrying, Ha Eun Byul pretends to be perfectly happy with the situation on the surface. After dinner, she affectionately praises the dessert Joo Dan Te prepared and tells him with a cheerful smile, “Thank you for inviting us.”

The clip then asks the cast of “The Penthouse 2” to sum up the second season of the drama in one word. Uhm Ki Joon chooses “Chaos,” while Kim So Yeon replies, “Lingering regret.” Yoon Jong Hoon’s pick is “Transformation,” and Ha Do Kwon jokes that the most important thing is whether his character Ma Doo Gi makes an appearance in that episode.

Jin Ji Hee teases, “Jenny will change, big time. She’s not the Jenny we know from Season 1.” Han Ji Hyun similarly remarks, “I think [Seok Kyung] will demonstrate a new kind of rebellion this season.”

S.E.S.’s Eugene goes on to share, “The relationships between the characters will change drastically,” while Choi Ye Bin cryptically remarks, “I felt the power of blood being thicker than water.”

Kim Hyun Soo teases that the second season will feature “repeated twists,” which Yoon Joo Hee echoes by promising “twist after twist after twist.” Meanwhile, Kim Young Dae comments that there will be so much happening that it’ll hard to be choose what to focus on.

Finally, Bong Tae Gyu blurts out one of the season’s upcoming twists after saying, “This definitely can’t be aired.” The video censors his spoiler, and both he and the production staff go on to crack up at the fact that he just said such a shocking twist out loud. “Even I didn’t see it coming!” exclaims the actor. “It’s a huge twist, right? I think it’s the biggest twist ever. It’s the biggest twist of Season 2.”
