Watch: A.C.E, Kim Jae Hwan, And More Perform Songs Of Hope And Comfort On

On February 27, KBS’s “Immortal Songs” aired their second “song request” special for those suffering from the COVID-19 pandemic.

The songs performed by the artists in these specials are sent in by viewers who are struggling in various ways due to COVID-19, such as theater actors who can no longer perform or emergency workers who are working to prevent infection transmission.

Lee Young Hyun performed Loveholics’ “Butterfly,” a request from a teacher who regretted not being able to make memories with their students. Park Seo Jin performed Na Hoon Ah’s “Hometown Station” for someone who had donated more than 300 million won (about $267,000) to students but now worried about not being able to donate due to difficulties with their restaurant business. Gaho performed Lee Seung Yeol’s “Fly” at the request of fire department workers, and 2F performed Kim Jung Ho’s “White Butterfly” for all the artists who were struggling with economic hardship.

A.C.E performed H.O.T.’s “Full of Happiness,” a request from a grandmother who was taking care of the children for a working couple. Kim Jae Hwan performed Busker Busker’s “Cherry Blossom Ending” for a viewer who was struggling to enter the workforce due to the ongoing pandemic.

During the show, A.C.E talked about performing at the after-party for “Parasite” at the Academy Awards. “It felt like we’d become national representatives,” the group said. “Our hearts were beating faster than it did at our concert.” The group then performed some of the songs they had performed at the after-party.

A.C.E’s Chan and Kim Jae Hwan also had a comedic battle of soccer skills.

Gaho took home the final win on this episode.
