Wonho Talks About Differences Between His First And Second Album, Goals For 2021, And More

Wonho recently shared an interview about his latest comeback with his second solo mini album “Love Synonym #2: Right for Us” and title track “Lose.”

He said, “This is the second album I’ve released with the name ‘Wonho’ on the line, so I wanted to show that I’ve matured compared to before. I tried to show the various colors I could express on the album and worked hard to prepare.”

About his title track, he said, “‘Lose’ means both ‘lose’ in ‘losing something precious’ and ‘losing in a game.’ Since this album is connected to the first album in a series, the most important part was that the emotions were also an extension of what went before.”

Wonho picked “Outro: And” as his favorite track on the album and explained, “I think that the outro contains the whole story of the album. It’s a track that shows the connected flow of emotions.”

On his collaboration with American singer-songwriter Kiiara on “Ain’t About You,” he said, “I was looking for a vocalist who fit the song ‘Ain’t About You’ when I heard Kiiara’s recording. I immediately thought, ‘This is it!’ and we started working on it together. Nothing has been decided yet, but I’m working on collaborating with many artists in the future.”

For his goals for 2021, he said, “I’ve said this again and again but I hope that COVID-19 will end and I can meet with fans in person. I want to perform and share stories with them in the same place. I also plan to show more diverse sides of myself on my YouTube channel.”
