GOT7's Youngjae Opens Up About Hopes For Solo Career + How He Gets Rid Of Unpleasant Thoughts

In a recent interview and pictorial for The Star magazine, GOT7’s Youngjae talked about his hopes for his future solo activities and more!

After confidently posing for a colorful pictorial with the concept “BELIEVE IN ME,” Youngjae sat down for a post-shoot interview to chat about making a fresh start under a new agency.

When asked what kind of genre he wanted to tackle if he ended up releasing a solo album, Youngjae replied, “I’d like to show a different side of myself through ballads.”

As for whether he was interested in launching his own YouTube channel, the idol revealed, “I want to create one. I’d like to make the channel name ‘Ars’ and turn it into a totally new space of my own.”

“I’d like to upload song covers and freely show songs that I’ve created,” he continued, “and I also want to film and post a vlog of myself composing.”

Youngjae also shared his personal tips for how he makes himself happier at home.

“When I have unpleasant thoughts or get caught up in my own head,” he said, “I either clean my house or do the dishes, and I find every single speck of dust and get rid of it. I think doing that keeps me from thinking bad thoughts.”

The idol went on to talk about missing his fans, adding that he hopes they’ll be able to meet in person again soon.

“I feel so sad about not being able to hold concerts or meet the fans,” lamented Youngjae. “Actually, we [GOT7] already had concerts scheduled before, but we ended up having to cancel them because of the situation with COVID-19. Both the GOT7 members and the fans were really sad about it. I hope that the day when we can enjoy the stage together with our fans comes as quickly as possible.”
