Rapper Killagramz Booked For Suspicions Of Marijuana Possession And Use

Rapper Killagramz has been taken into custody by the police on suspicions of possession and use of marijuana.

On March 3, the Yeongdeungpo Police Station in Seoul confirmed that Killagramz (real name Lee Joon Hee) had been booked without detention and was being investigated on charges of violating the Narcotics Control Act.

According to the police, someone called in with a complaint on March 1 around 4:10 p.m. KST about a smell like burning mugwort. When the police arrived, Killagramz’s house was full of smoke and the strong smell of burning mugwort. The police suspected him of smoking marijuana, but Killagramz denied it at first and claimed it was the smell of his electronic cigarettes.

However, the police discovered dried marijuana leaves in his kitchen, as well as more marijuana and dismantled plastic inhalers in the drawers of his home office and in the ventilation system. Eventually, Killagramz admitted to having purchased about 400,000 won (about $350) worth of marijuana in December 2020 from an unknown foreigner in the Itaewon neighborhood. The police are currently investigating whether other people also used marijuana with him.

Killagramz shared the following letter on Instagram:

Hello, this is Killagramz.

First, I would like to apologize for disappointing those who have sincerely loved and supported me, as well as those people who don’t know anything about me.

I should have talked about this before the reports came out, so I’m also sorry that this is late.

Three days ago, I was visited by the Yeongdeungpo police on suspicions of marijuana use. During the police investigation, I admitted my wrongdoings and acknowledged all the charges. As part of my self-reflection, I have voluntarily handed over all the evidence that the police requested and am cooperating with the investigation. I will of course receive punishment according to the law as well.

Legal punishment is a given, but I also acknowledge that I have done something I should never have done as a public figure that children could look up to and learn from. I will take the time to read the comments from those who read this post, as well as those who came here after reading the news reports, and reflect on my actions. Once again, I apologize.

I will take this incident as a chance to set myself straight from behavior that results in public criticism. I promise that I will return much more mature than before. Once again, I bow my head and apologize to the fans and those who were disappointed in me, who trusted me, as well as those who first learned about me through this news, and all those who live faithfully according to Korean law.

I am in deep self-reflection and deeply sorry.
