Watch: "Joseon Exorcist" Previews Intense Conflicts In Suspenseful New Teaser

A mysterious new teaser has been released for “Joseon Exorcist”!

Set after the establishment of the Joseon dynasty, “Joseon Exorcist” is about the battle with the undead who come back to life after being killed by the royal family. Jang Dong Yoon stars as Prince Chungnyeong, a bookish young man forced to fight to protect Joseon from the evil spirits. Kam Woo Sung stars as King Taejong, a cold-blooded monarch who sets out to control the spirits but secretly harbors a sense of guilt at the blood he shed while helping his father establish Joseon. Park Sung Hoon stars as Prince Yangnyeong, who forms a dangerous contract with the spirits to protect his loved ones.

In the new teaser, uneasiness is apparent on Prince Chungnyeong’s face as he faces a mysterious being that has caused a blood bath in Joseon, while King Taejong hints at his secretive past with his intense fear about the undead coming back to life. Chungnyeong also seems to grow suspicious of his father Taejong.

Another conflict is previewed between Prince Yangnyeong and Im Tae Mi (Jeon No Min) when Im Tae Mi says, “It would not be strange if the owner of the royal throne is replaced.”

When Taejong predicts, “Joseon will now be manipulated by the grasp of the evil spirits,” the teaser shows Byeo Ri (Kim Dong Jun) being attacked as foretold by Taejong. The clip draws curiosity about the truth behind the main evil spirit “Azazel” and if Joseon can be protected from being taken over.

“Joseon Exorcist” will premiere on March 22 at 10 p.m. KST.
