BTS And Big Hit Renew Commitment To

BTS and their agency Big Hit Entertainment have renewed their partnership with UNICEF in order to help end global violence and neglect, as well as encourage young people’s self-esteem and well-being.

In 2017, BTS and their agency joined hands with UNICEF to create the “LOVE MYSELF” campaign, which aims to pursue love and a better place to live for everyone. Since then, the campaign has raised $2.98 million to help UNICEF in its mission to end violence against children and young people. It has spread messages of hope and kindness to young people around the world and helped them share their own stories of violence and bullying.

On March 5, UNICEF unveiled a video that features BTS sharing their pledge to continue their “LOVE MYSELF” campaign. The group and their agency are renewing their commitment until 2022. On top of that, their original joint campaign with the Korean Committee for UNICEF is now expanding to be a three-way agreement including UNICEF headquarters.

UNICEF has shared that as part of the renewed global partnership, BTS and Big Hit will donate over $1 million to the Korean Committee for UNICEF, as well as proceeds from the sale of their “Love Myself” merchandise and a portion of the profits from sales of their “Love Yourself” album series.

Leader RM said, “It seems like yesterday that we held our signing ceremony and began the ‘LOVE MYSELF’ campaign, and to think that it has been running for four years makes me recall that moment in 2017.”

“We are extremely moved and thankful that our ‘LOVE MYSELF’ campaign, which began with small steps, is now being elevated to an even bigger partnership,” he said. “We also strove to ‘LOVE MYSELF,’ and I think we as a team and as individuals grew as well.”
