Watch: OnlyOneOf Wins Praise For Dreamlike Performance Of "Spring Day" By BTS On "Immortal Songs"

OnlyOneOf appeared as a performer on the March 6 “spring” special of KBS’s “Immortal Songs”!

In their first appearance on “Immortal Songs,” OnlyOneOf put their own spin on the long-running hit song “Spring Day” by BTS.

Their performance earned the praise of the KBS announcers who were acting as panelists on the episode. Park Ji Won said, “It feels like we’ve received not just a gift of warmth but of pure heat. I could feel myself blushing at the maturity and wildness of the performance. I could feel the group’s burning energy and passion. At the end, it was an emotional and moving moment to see them grab their hearts.”

Jung Ji Won said, “‘Spring’ is the theme of this episode, but it felt like OnlyOneOf truly embodied the spring. There’s a heart-fluttering feeling when love begins or when the season changes to spring. I became a fan today. I hope that spring will come for OnlyOneOf just as it did for BTS.”

Im Soo Min said, “The screen shows the middle of winter, but looking at OnlyOneOf, I could only think of spring. It felt like my heart was getting bigger. It was a dreamlike performance that called up a longing spring day. I think that they put a strong focus on the fantastic and dreamlike aspects. It felt like I was in a dream while I was watching the performance.”

In the pre-performance interview, OnlyOneOf shared their parents’ and grandparents’ excitement that the group would be appearing on the show. KB said that his mom was a fan of the singer Shin Yu, whom they were competing against, and joked, “She might be supporting me on the outside, but…”

The members also shared some of their memories of spring, such as the time they played basketball together at the Han River and going to see the cherry blossoms with their friends at school. OnlyOneOf shared their hopes that their performance could act as a message of hope for those waiting for the “spring” after the long COVID-19 pandemic.
