"The Penthouse 2" Ratings Soar Higher Than Ever; "Homemade Love Story" Heads Into Finale At No. 1
SBS’s “The Penthouse 2” has hit another all-time high!
On March 6, the second season of the popular drama successfully continued its streak of gaining more and more viewers with each new episode. According to Nielsen Korea, the sixth episode of “The Penthouse 2” scored average nationwide ratings of 22.4 percent and 26.9 percent for its two parts, easily taking first place in its time slot across all channels and setting a new personal record for the drama.
“The Penthouse 2” also achieved its highest viewership ratings to date among the key demographic of viewers ages 20 to 49, with whom it scored an average nationwide rating of 12.3 percent.
Meanwhile, with just one episode left in its run, KBS 2TV’s “Homemade Love Story” stayed strong ahead of its upcoming series finale on March 7. The penultimate episode of the long-running drama scored average nationwide ratings of 26.9 percent and 31.6 percent for its two parts, marking an increase in viewership from its previous episode and making it the most-watched drama of the entire night.
After breaking into the double digits with its previous episode last week, tvN’s “Vincenzo” saw a slight decline for an average nationwide rating of 9.7 percent, while TV Chosun’s “Love (ft. Marriage and Divorce)” followed close behind with an average rating of 8.3 percent. OCN’s “Times” also dipped to an average nationwide rating of 1.6 percent for the night.
Finally, JTBC’s “Beyond Evil” rose to an average nationwide rating of 4.4 percent for its latest episode.
