BLACKPINK’s Rosé extended her stock pre-order record for Korean female soloists!
On March 15, YG Entertainment shared that Rosé’s solo single album “R” had reached stock pre-orders of 404,318 CDs, 49,058 KiT versions, and 52,129 LPs. She’s now achieved over 500,000 stock pre-orders for the album, the highest for a Korean female soloist for a single album.
Following its digital release on March 12, the physical version of Rosé’s “R” hits shelves on March 16.
BLACKPINK’s Rosé has already broken a record with her solo debut album!
On March 9, YG Entertainment revealed that Rosé’s upcoming solo single album “R” had surpassed 400,000 copies in stock pre-orders as of March 8. This was achieved in only four days since pre-orders for the album began on March 4.
400,000 is the highest number of stock pre-orders achieved by a female soloist in Korea. This number is a sum of orders from not only Korea, but also many other regions including China, Southeast Asia, United States, Japan, and Europe. The amount is expected to increase even further as a few more days stills remain until the album’s release.
Previously, BLACKPINK’s first full album “THE ALBUM” had broken the K-pop girl group record for stock pre-orders as well, reaching almost 1 million copies. Now, Rosé holds this record both as a group and as a soloist.
“R” and its title track “On the Ground” are slated for release on March 12 at 2 p.m. KST. The physical album will be released on March 16.
