PD Han Dong Chul To Team Up With MBC For New Global Idol Audition Program
Producing director (PD) Han Dong Chul is working on a new global idol audition program with MBC.
Sports Kyunghyang reported on March 9 that a source from the broadcasting industry had stated, “In terms of audition programs, MBC has been unable to see great results,” and the source said that MBC is currently preparing for a global idol audition show with PD Han Dong Chul. According to the report, the program would air this fall.
The director has previously worked with Mnet to produce “Show Me the Money,” “Unpretty Rapstar,” “Produce 101,” and “Sixteen.” He has since established his own production company and had already been preparing for a new audition program.
In response, an MBC representative shared with News1 on March 9, “We’re currently fine-tuning details about the program’s timing and planning with PD Han Dong Chul.”
