“Beyond Evil” is a psychological thriller about two men who are willing to break rules and the law in their pursuit of a serial killer. As they attempt to track down the murderer, they must repeatedly ask themselves, “Who is the monster? Is it you? Is it me? Is it us?”

Yeo Jin Goo stars as Han Joo Won, an elite detective with a secret who transfers to the local police station in the quiet village of Manyang, where he meets Lee Dong Shik (played by Shin Ha Kyun), a former detective who has been demoted to doing menial work in his hometown.

Spoilers

On the previous episode of “Beyond Evil,” the shocking truth that Kang Jin Mook (played by Lee Gyu Hee) was the true murderer of his daughter Kang Min Jung (played by Kang Min Ah) was finally revealed. Not only did he murder his own daughter, but Kang Jin Mook even approached Han Joo Won to personally request that he investigate her death. In spite of Lee Dong Shik’s protests, Han Joo Won agreed, making viewers curious to find out where the drama’s unpredictable plot was heading next.

However, the episode left viewers with an additional twist that shook up the characters’ world: Kang Min Jung’s phone was unexpectedly turned on, and Kang Jin Mook received a mysterious text from his daughter.

In newly released photos from the drama’s upcoming episode, Lee Dong Shik and Han Joo Won search for clues about Kang Min Jung’s murder—both together and on their own. In one photo, Lee Dong Shik discovers a mysterious map behind the butcher’s shop, raising the questions of why it was hidden there and what secrets it holds. Meanwhile, Han Joo Won spots a surveillance camera that looks out onto the supermarket owned by Kang Jin Mook, and the sharp look in his eyes hints that he’s just come to an important realization.

Later, as the two cops stand together in front of the butcher’s shop, Lee Dong Shik seems to be struggling with conflicting feelings—and, observing him, a keen Han Joo Won appears to have noticed his internal turmoil. At the same time, butcher Yoon Jae Yi (played by Choi Sung Eun) wears an intriguing expression of her own as she gazes at something in the distance.

The producers of “Beyond Evil” commented, “With the reveal of the true perpetrator Kang Jin Mook’s identity, [the story] has reached a turning point. Please stay tuned to find out whether Han Joo Won will be able to solve the case as he faces a mix of truth and lies.”

They went on to tease, “Episode 7 is an important episode in which one layer of Lee Dong Shik’s secret will be revealed. Additionally, there will be a thrilling change in the relationship between [Han Joo Won and Lee Dong Shik].”

The next episode of “Beyond Evil” will air on March 12 at 11 p.m. KST.
