Ahn Hyo Seop In Talks Along With Jo Bo Ah For Webtoon-Based Romantic Comedy Drama
On March 16, OSEN reported that Ahn Hyo Seop was reviewing an offer to star in the drama “A Business Proposal” (working title). Following reports, a source from Ahn Hyo Seop’s agency Starhaus Entertainment shared, “‘A Business Proposal’ is one of the projects he has received an offer for. He is reviewing the offer.”
“A Business Proposal” is a romance comedy story about an office employee who goes on a blind date with her company’s CEO in place of a friend while hiding her identity. The story was first published by author Hae Hwa as a web novel in 2017, and it was produced into a webtoon in 2018. In August 2020, KakaoPage announced that they would be adapting the web novel and webtoon into a drama.
Ahn Hyo Seop made his acting debut with MBC’s “Splash Splash Love.” Afterwards, he starred in the dramas “My Father is Strange,” “Queen of the Ring,” “30 But 17,” “Top Management,” “Abyss,” and “Dr. Romantic 2.” Currently, Ahn Hyo Seop is focusing on filming for his upcoming SBS drama “Hong Chun Gi.”
Earlier on, Xportsnews had reported that Jo Bo Ah was reviewing an offer to star in the drama as the female lead. If she accepts the role, Jo Bo Ah will play Shin Ha Ri, a regular office employee. When she goes on a blind date in place of her friend, she’s shocked to realize that her date is her company’s CEO.
Jo Bo Ah made her debut in 2012 through the tvN drama “Shut Up! Flower Boy Band.” She then starred in “King’s Doctor,” “Surplus Princess,” “All About My Mom,” “Degree of Love,” “Goodbye to Goodbye,” “Monster,” “My Strange Hero,” “Forest,” and most recently, “Tale of the Nine-Tailed.”
According to the reports, “A Business Proposal” will be helmed by producing director (PD) Park Sun Ho, who worked on SBS’s “Suspicious Partner” and “Wok of Love.” The broadcast schedule and channel have yet to be decided.
