IU Tops iTunes Charts Around The World With "LILAC"

IU’s new album is soaring on the international music charts!

On March 25 at 6 p.m. KST, IU made her long-awaited return with her fifth studio album “LILAC” and its accompanying title track of the same name.

Not only did the title track “LILAC” immediately rise to the top of domestic realtime music charts—with all of the songs from the album ranking high on the Korean charts—but IU’s new album also topped iTunes charts in various countries all over the world within hours of its release.

According to a release by IU’s agency EDAM Entertainment, as of 8 a.m. KST on March 26, “LILAC” had hit No. 1 on iTunes Top Albums charts in at least 11 different regions, including Brazil, Cambodia, Hong Kong, Norway, Malaysia, Singapore, Israel, Taiwan, Sri Lanka, and the Philippines.
