Watch: Kang Ha Neul And Chun Woo Hee Are Connected By A Heartwarming Letter In Trailer For Upcoming Film

Kang Ha Neul and Chun Woo Hee’s upcoming film “Story of You and the Rain (literal title)” released a touching new trailer!

“Story of You and the Rain” is about Young Ho (Kang Ha Neul) and So Hee (Chun Woo Hee), who become each other’s sources of comfort in life by exchanging handwritten letters.

The teaser begins with Young Ho rushing towards the mailman, hinting at how Young Ho and So Hee’s relationship starts with a single letter. Young Ho introduces the film through the voice over, “This is a story about waiting.” The teaser continues to show further insight into Young Ho, who is in his third year of retaking college entrance exams and doesn’t have any big goals.

His friend asks, “How are you getting a phone now when it’s already the 21st century.” Young Ho sounds skeptical, but he gets childishly excited to see a flip phone with a screen that also swivels vertically. However, he quickly becomes serious again when he asks, “Do you remember Gong So Yeon?”

Recklessly, Young Ho sends a letter to his childhood friend So Yeon. He writes, “I don’t know if you’ll be put at a loss by this sudden letter. We went to the same elementary school, but you probably don’t remember.”

So Hee receives the letter in place of her older sister So Yeon, who is ill, and she sends Young Ho a reply with a few rules. “I think I remember you. Thank you for the letter. I hope you stick to a few guidelines. Don’t ask questions, don’t say to meet up, and don’t come find me.”

As the two gradually become closer through the letter exchange, Young Ho asks, “If you give me the opportunity, could we possibly meet on the last day of this year?”

The new teaser makes viewers reminisce about the days without smartphones as it portrays the heart-fluttering wait for a response from someone you like. The upcoming film will warm the hearts of viewers through a nostalgic vibe as Yong Ho and So Hee comfort each other and mature as they find a path of their own.
