Lee Do Hyun In Talks For New Drama Along With Im Soo Jung
Lee Do Hyun may be appearing in a new drama!
On April 5, one industry representative said Lee Do Hyun will be joining Im Soo Jung for a drama titled “Melancholia” (literal title). A source from his agency Yue Hua Entertainment clarified, “Lee Do Hyun received an offer to star in ‘Melancholia’ and is reviewing it.”
“Melancholia” is described as a drama about a terrible scandal that sweeps over a prestigious private high school in Gangnam. The scandal involves a sexual relationship between students and teachers, as well as the corruption that follows. It was previously revealed that Im Soo Jung is in discussion to play the main character in the drama.
If Lee Do Hyun chooses to accept the offer, he will play Baek Seung Yoo. He is a guy of few words who is slow to respond and is blasé about everything. He is a voluntary outsider who prefers to take pictures quietly with DSLR cameras instead of cell phone cameras. In addition, he appeared on a quiz program at the age of five and surprised the world by solving math problems that even students at KAIST and Pohang University of Science and Technology could not solve. He also entered MIT at the age of 10 but dropped out at the age of 12.
Lee Do Hyun is currently filming “Youth of May” (literal title) that will premiere in May 2021. It is a drama that revolves around two characters who have a fateful meeting in the middle of the whirlwind of events that takes place in May 1980, a historically significant time period in South Korea.
