Watch: "Hospital Playlist" Confirms Season 2 Premiere Date + Cast Reunites Excitedly At Script Reading

“Hospital Playlist” is gearing up for the long-awaited premiere of the second season!

The medical drama series, which began in 2020, tells the stories of five doctors who are best friends and showcases the everyday lives of people at the hospital.

In January, the cast and crew reunited for the first script reading of Season 2. The main cast members Jo Jung Suk, Yoo Yeon Seok, Jung Kyung Ho, Kim Dae Myung, and Jeon Mi Do were in attendance along with supporting actors such as Kim Hae Sook, Jung Moon Sung, Shin Hyun Been, Kwak Sun Young, Ahn Eun Jin, Moon Tae Yoo, Choi Young Joon, and Ha Yoon Kyung.

A behind-the-scenes video released on April 15 gives a sneak peek at their reunion.

Although child actor Kim Jun doesn’t stay for the script reading, the other actors make sure to greet him before he leaves. Jung Kyung Ho appears stunned at his growth, exclaiming that the connection from the first season might even seem unnatural. Jo Jung Suk, who plays the father of Kim Jun’s character Woo Joo, tells him, “See you at filming!” and opens his arms for a hug.

The actors express excitement to see each other again, greeting each other with warm embraces as they arrive one by one.

When Kim Dae Myung arrives, the other cast members tease him for having a similar hairstyle and sweatshirt as Kim Jun.

Director Shin Won Ho comments ahead of the script reading, “The simple and everyday stories that we have told until now will be drawn out with even more warmth and depth.”

The actors then begin reading, showing perfect synchronization with their characters and improved chemistry.

The drama’s production team commented, “It will be worth looking forward to the upgraded real chemistry of director Shin Won Ho, writer Lee Woo Jung, and the actors, who previously showcased amazing teamwork. As long as you have waited, we will give back with a great drama.”
