Lee Hyun Bae, 45RPM’s Rapper And DJ DOC’s Lee Ha Neul’s Brother, Passes Away
45RPM’s rapper Lee Hyun Bae has passed away at the age of 48 (by Korean reckoning).
Lee Hyun Bae is also the younger brother of DJ DOC’s Lee Ha Neul.
On April 17, a source shared, “Lee Ha Neul came to Jeju Island and confirmed the body. We don’t know the exact cause of his death.” One media outlet reported that Lee Hyun Bae died of a heart attack in his home in Seogwipo, Jeju.
The source added, “An autopsy will be performed on Monday, April 19 (in order to find out the exact cause of his death). Some of his family members wish for his body to be transferred to Seoul, but it hasn’t been decided whether the autopsy will be done in Seoul or Jeju.”
Lee Hyun Bae debuted in 2005 as a member of 45RPM and appeared in various variety shows after that. He used to be part of YG Entertainment, but he signed with Lee Ha Neul’s agency Buda Sound and then joined Super Jam Records later on.
Our deepest condolences go out to Lee Hyun Bae’s family and friends.
