Preview stills have been released for the next episode of “Youth of May”!
“Youth of May” is a melodrama about the romance between Hwang Hee Tae (Lee Do Hyun) and Kim Myung Hee (Go Min Si) set against the turbulent background of May 1980, a historically significant time period in South Korea. Lee Sang Yi and Geum Sae Rok co-star as Lee Soo Chan and Lee Soo Ryun, siblings from a wealthy family background who have different goals in life.
The premiere episode that aired on May 3 showed Hwang Hee Tae and nurse Kim Myung Hee’s unique first encounter when he witnessed her firmly fighting back against a man who grabbed her collar.
New stills released on May 4 show the two unexpectedly reuniting on a blind date. Hwang Hee Tae goes on the blind date in order to borrow money from his father, while Kim Myung Hee agrees to go instead of her friend Lee Soo Ryun who bribed her with a plane ticket to Germany.
On the blind date, Hee Tae immediately realizes that she is Myung Hee and not Soo Ryun. Myung Hee is surprised at the situation, while Hee Tae appears very at ease.
The third image shows the two making eye contact with similar poses, and there is a bottle of beer on the table in front of Myung Hee.
In a second set of stills, Kim Myung Hee and Lee Soo Ryun are in danger of being caught by Lee Soo Ryun’s brother Lee Soo Chan for their blind date deal. Myung Hee runs into Soo Chan after the blind date, and he questions her outfit as she is dressed much more nicely than usual. The preview images draw curiosity for how the awkward situation will play out.
Episode 2 of “Youth of May” will air on May 4 at 9:30 p.m. KST.
