Watch: Hyeri And Jang Ki Yong Set Unusual Rules For Living Together In Fun Teaser For "My Roommate Is A Gumiho"
tvN has shared a cute new sneak peek of its upcoming drama “My Roommate Is a Gumiho”!
Based on a popular webtoon, “My Roommate Is a Gumiho” tells the story of a 22-year-old college student named Lee Dam (played by Girl’s Day’s Hyeri), who accidentally swallows the marble of a 999-year-old male gumiho (a mythological nine-tailed fox) named Shin Woo Yeo (played by Jang Ki Yong), who was close to achieving his goal of becoming human.
If a human swallows a gumiho’s marble, they can only live for one year, after which the marble will break—preventing the gumiho from ever becoming human. As they attempt to figure out a way to extract the marble from Lee Dam’s body before the year is up, Shin Woo Yeo suggests that the two move in together.
In a newly released teaser for the upcoming drama, Lee Dam and Shin Woo Yeo come up with some unusual ground rules for their new living arrangement. The clip begins with Lee Dam saying, “If you end up unexpectedly living together with a gumiho…” before Shin Woo Yeo begins listing the intriguing rules of the house.
The first rule is that “contact with members of the opposite sex born in the year of the tiger is prohibited,” and Lee Dam is shown hilariously struggling to avoid the many such students on campus.
The second rule is that “you will do your best to find a way to remove the marble, and you will report your progress every week.” When Shin Woo Yeo turns in an unsatisfactory report, Lee Dam scolds him, “What have you been doing? What is this?”
The third rule is “no consuming chicken or alcohol,” while the fourth is “no frosty glares.” Finally, the clip ends with the two roommates happily declaring, “These little rules can go a long way in bringing you a lot of happiness.”
“My Roommate Is a Gumiho” premieres on May 26 at 10:30 p.m. KST. In the meantime, check out the new teaser below!
