Jang Ki Yong And Hyeri Talk About Reuniting For Upcoming Drama And Their Chemistry On Set
The actors are the leads of the upcoming tvN drama “My Roommate Is a Gumiho.” Based on a popular webtoon, the drama tells the story of a 22-year-old college student named Lee Dam (Hyeri), who accidentally swallows the marble of a 999-year-old male gumiho (a mythological nine-tailed fox) named Shin Woo Yeo (Jang Ki Yong), who was close to achieving his goal of becoming human.
Ahead of the premiere, Jang Ki Yong and Hyeri took part in a photo shoot with 1st Look Magazine. They display sweet couple vibes as they playfully pose in the setting of a home.
Following the photo shoot, they also took time for an interview with the magazine.
Jang Ki Yong shared, “We first met in a different project a long time ago, so it was great to meet [Hyeri] again.” He revealed that if someone were to ask him who brightens the atmosphere on set the most, he would choose Hyeri without hesitation. “That’s how energetic of a person she is, and she creates a cheerful vibe on set. I also gained energy seeing how she showed even greater passion than the director at times. As we became closer and more comfortable with the passing of time, we were able to gradually have more fun filming.”
Hyeri commented, “When we met in a different project about seven years ago, both of us had just started acting, so we filmed without really knowing what was going on. We didn’t talk a lot back then, so we were not close. However, I watched his continuous growth, and when I heard we were working together [for this drama], I was happy and really looked forward to it.”
“My Roommate Is a Gumiho” is set to premiere on May 26 at 10:30 p.m. KST via tvN.
