CL Teams Up With Lyft For #StopAsianHate Campaign To Help Provide Safe Transportation To AAPI Community
CL and Lyft have joined forces for a meaningful new campaign!
In the wake of an alarming increase in racially motivated hate crimes against Asian-Americans in the United States, CL has partnered with Lyft for a new #StopAsianHate campaign to help the AAPI community travel safely.
With the help of nonprofit organizations such as NAPCA (National Asian Pacific Center on Aging), AACI (Asian Americans for Community Involvement), and Self-Help for the Elderly, Lyft will be providing vulnerable members of the AAPI community with credits for free and discounted rides in honor of AAPI Heritage Month.
CL remarked, “We all deserve to feel safe going to/from work or just [attending] to our daily lives. While anti-Asian hate was around long before the pandemic, it’s now an urgent problem that requires all of us to step up as a global community to combat this together.”
She continued, “Hopefully this initiative also reminds those in my community that they are seen, heard, supported for and cared for.”
