Kwak Dong Yeon, Choi Ye Bin, And Choi Won Young Join “Delicious Rendezvous” As New Cast Members
SBS’s “Delicious Rendezvous” has a brand new cast!
The three actors are replacing Super Junior’s Kim Heechul, Kim Dong Jun, and Yoo Byung Jae, whom SBS announced last week would be leaving their positions as the show undergoes reorganization. Of the current cast, Yang Se Hyung and Baek Jong Won will remain as hosts.
Choi Won Young is a veteran character actor, with some of his recent projects including SBS’s “Alice” and JTBC’s “Mystic Pop-Up Bar.” He is also known as a “house husband” who cooks for his children whenever he has time. The production staff selected him for the cast due to his comfortable image and his long-time interest in cooking.
Kwak Dong Yeon has been building up a solid filmography over the past few years despite his young age and recently made waves with his role in tvN’s “Vincenzo.” He has lived on his own for a long time and is interested in cooking healthy food with in-season ingredients. The production staff stated, “He’s someone who can become friendly with someone quickly no matter their age. He has a friendly approach not only toward the other members but also to the citizens and farmers that he meets on the show.”
Choi Ye Bin is best known for her role as Ha Eun Byul in SBS’s “The Penthouse” series. She will be joining “Delicious Rendezvous” as the youngest member. Recently, she mentioned “Baek Jong Won’s Alley Restaurant” and “Delicious Rendezvous” as some of the shows that she wanted to appear on the most. She also has experience in various part-time jobs like working at a baseball stadium and a barbecue restaurant.
“Delicious Rendezvous” is a variety show in which the cast helps out local farmers by creating new and easy menu items with locally sourced products that are in low market demand. The new season with the new cast members will air sometime in June.
