BTS Breaks All Their Own Records As “Butter” MV Hits 100 Million Views

BTS and ARMY have delivered another impressive feat as “Butter” set new records on YouTube!

BTS released the music video for their new English-language single “Butter” on May 21 at 1 p.m. KST. Since then, it has racked up views at record speeds, hitting 10 million views just 13 minutes after its release. This breaks BTS’s own record of 21 minutes that they previously set with “Dynamite.”

“Butter” hit 20 million views in 54 minutes, breaking “Dynamite’s” record of 1 hour and 14 minutes.

It took 2 hours and 20 minutes for “Butter” to reach 30 million views, surpassing “Dynamite’s” record of 3 hours.

“Butter” took just 4 hours and 46 minutes to hit 40 million views, breaking the record of 5 hours and 37 minutes achieved by “Dynamite.”

6 hours and 10 minutes was “Butter’s” record for 50 million views, surpassing “Dynamite’s” record of 8 hours and 16 minutes.

“Butter” reached 60 million views in 11 hours and 25 minutes, breaking “Dynamite’s” record of 13 hours and 16 minutes. View counts on YouTube can fluctuate with time as the platform monitors its activities. This is also why the official YouTube 24-hour view count can differ from real-time estimates.

It took 12 hours and 55 minutes for “Butter” to hit 70 million views, surpassing the record of 15 hours and 31 minutes set by “Dynamite.”

“Butter” hit 80 million views in 14 hours and 30 minutes, breaking “Dynamite’s” record of 18 hours and 20 minutes.

In 17 hours and 16 minutes, “Butter” reached 90 million views, overtaking “Dynamite’s” record of 21 hours and 41 minutes.

“Butter” hit the 100-million-view milestone at 21 hours after its release, breaking the record held by “Dynamite” at 24 hours and 27 minutes. (The official YouTube record for BTS’s “Dynamite” says that the music video hit 101.1 million views in its first 24 hours.)

Congratulations to BTS!
