BTS's "Butter" Tops Oricon's Daily Digital Singles Chart With Their Highest First-Day Downloads Yet

BTS is soaring to new heights in Japan with “Butter”!

On May 21, BTS made their highly-anticipated return with their new English-language single “Butter.”

The song immediately went on to debut at No. 1 on Oricon’s daily digital singles chart dated May 21, racking up a total of 27,722 downloads within just the first day of its release.

“Butter” is now BTS’s biggest debut to date on the Japanese chart, breaking their previous record of 23,344 first-day downloads set by their Japanese single “Film Out” earlier this year.

Notably, the instrumental version of “Butter” also charted separately at No. 6.

BTS also topped both Japan’s iTunes Top Songs chart and Top Music Videos chart with “Butter” within hours of the single’s release.
