WINNER’s Song Mino Talks About His Artistic Form Of Expression
For the pictorial with Dazed magazine, Song Mino modeled various outfits from Louis Vuitton, including clothing from the Louis Vuitton X NBA Collection.
The interviewer compared Song Mino to Virgil Abloh, the artistic director of Louis Vuitton’s menswear collection, stating that they were both like a one-of-a-kind theme park. When asked about the clothing he wore that day, Song Mino replied, “The jacket I wore in the first cut is cute, and so is the set with the monogram pattern and the set with the shorts and short sleeves as well. I just enjoyed all the looks from the Louis Vuitton X NBA Collection that I wore today.”
Regarding his idea of “expression,” Song Mino shared, “Honestly, there’s a time I’ve thought deeply about this. It’s something that can’t be helped, so not expressing yourself means you’re dead. No matter what form that is, regardless of whether it’s art, music, or whatever it is. Creating my thoughts and my feelings into something visual, into sound, and into a shape means that I’m alive. Another important thing is that there are people who watch and listen to the things I express. Fate. That’s my conclusion. Expression is my fate.”
