Watch: "Kingdom" Previews ATEEZ's Nostalgic Performance Of "Answer" And THE BOYZ's Powerful Cover Of EXO's "Monster"

Mnet’s “Kingdom: Legendary War” has released two new 45-second previews of ATEEZ’s and THE BOYZ’s upcoming performances!

The second part of the idol competition show’s third round features performances with the theme “No Limit,” allowing for any genre, featuring artists, or collaborations.

The clip begins with the members of ATEEZ discussing what song they will present next. Hongjoong points out that “Answer” was the last song they had performed in front of ATINY (fandom name). Wooyoung adds that their fans really wanted them to perform that song on the show. They watch a clip of them performing “Answer” from their concert. The members can’t help but exclaim in awe, and San points out there’s a big difference between ATINY being with them and not being with them.

The 45-second clip of ATEEZ’s stage shows off the group’s brand new interpretation of “Answer,” complete with eye-catching outfits and mesmerizing choreography. An hourglass seems to be the key symbol of this performance.

Next, the video shows THE BOYZ diligently practicing their cover of EXO’s “Monster.” THE BOYZ’s Q positions himself in front of the group to carefully watch their moves. He comments they just need to be a bit more powerful overall, and the members are happy with how much they’ve grown from before. Leader Sangyeon also watches the group from the back in order to pinpoint what they have to work on. Thanks to their thoroughness, they’re able to put on a powerful performance, but the clip also shares a glimpse of Sangyeon bursting into tears when everything is over.

The 45-second preview of their performance teases a charismatic version of “Monster,” and they exude confidence as they stride across the stage.
