Kang Min Ah Talks About How She Differs From Her Character In "At A Distance Spring Is Green"

KBS 2TV’s “At a Distance Spring is Green” released new stills of Kang Min Ah!

Based on a popular webtoon, “At a Distance Spring is Green” is a drama about the realistic struggles of college students facing the harsh realities of a tough world.

Kang Min Ah will be playing the hard-working college student Kim So Bin who’ll embark on a special campus story with Yeo Joon (Park Ji Hoon) and Nam Soo Hyun (Bae In Hyuk). With her own unique colors, Kang Min Ah will portray the ordinary yet lovable Kim So Bin.

Regarding her character, Kang Min Ah shared, “On the surface level, Kim So Bin has no presence, is wary of others judging her, and seems timid, but if you look closely, she’s an ordinary person in her 20s doing her best to live her own life.” She added, “I thought about what I could do to portray Kim So Bin naturally, and although it was difficult, I think I’ll be able to show the viewers a new side of me.”

When asked about how similar she is to her character, Kang Min Ah commented, “I’m completely different from Kim So Bin. I have to say what’s on my mind, and unlike me, someone who clearly expresses what I like, Kim So Bin holds back and endures again and again, thinking it over numerous times before speaking.” She continued, “I was frustrated at first, but I got the thought that she’s able to be considerate of other people’s feelings and make less mistakes because of how cautious she is. I’m learning from Kim So Bin while acting as her.”

Kang Min Ah shared, “Exactly as the title ‘At a Distance Spring is Green’ states, the characters in the drama each have their own story and pain. Although they seem happy on the outside, everyone has a wound of their own. Our drama shows the process of people overcoming that pain. That’s why I myself, as well as the viewers, will be able to relate and be comforted by the drama.”

“At a Distance Spring is Green” premieres on June 14 at 9:30 p.m. KST and will be available with subtitles on Viki.
