Watch: aespa Unleashes Their Talents + Performs "Black Mamba" And "Next Level" On "Ask Us Anything"

aespa appeared on the June 5 episode of JTBC’s “Ask Us Anything”!

After dancing to their debut song “Black Mamba,” aespa revealed that the “black mamba” had snuck into the “Ask Us Anything” dorm. Suspicious of the guests, the “Ask Us Anything” members asked aespa to prove that they were truly aespa and not the black mamba.

Karina did an impersonation of Chun Seo Jin (Kim So Yeon) from “The Penthouse” series, and Ningning copied comedian Kim Hae Jun’s famous YouTube persona Choi Joon. Giselle showed off her rapping skills.

To prove that she was not the black mamba, Ningning sang Kim Ah Joong‘s “Maria.” However, her voice cracked in the chorus, and everyone began to suspect she was the black mamba. Kang Ho Dong commented, “It’s even more strange if you’re not the black mamba.” Ningning started singing again and nailed it the second time.

Winter showed off her sword dance skills, but her abrupt conclusion made her look suspicious. She then sang IU‘s “Secret Garden” and captivated the cast with her voice.

aespa and the “Ask Us Anything” cast then faced off in a competition of recorder playing skills. They were given the letter “S” as a hint for the identity of the black mamba, and Kang Ho Dong grew confident that it was Lee Soo Geun.

More games were played to ferret out further clues about the black mamba. In the game “break the karaoke curse,” the karaoke machine changed the speed, key, or beat of the song randomly. Karina sang Gummy’s “Childish Adult,” while Ningning sang Lena Park’s “In Dreams.”

After the game, it was revealed that Lee Sang Min was the black mamba, and Kang Ho Dong received a penalty for finding the wrong black mamba.

Finally, aespa performed their new track “Next Level.”
