Main Dancer Of Boy Group Showcases Emotional Vocals On “The King Of Mask Singer”
On the June 6 episode of MBC’s “The King of Mask Singer,” four contestants continued their challenge to dethrone reigning champion Emerald of May.
The second match-up of Round 2 was between Beware of Dog and Short-Bobbed Hair. Beware of Dog sang Park Won’s “If We” and made the panel sit up with his ability to pack an emotional punch with his calm but resonant voice. In contrast, Short-Bobbed Hair sang Jo Jang Hyuk’s “Change” and showed off her immense vocal power.
Short-Bobbed Hair won the round with 18 votes to 3, and Beware of Dog took off his mask to reveal himself as WEi’s main dancer Kim Dong Han.
Kim Dong Han said, “I’ve seen a lot of idol seniors appear on ‘The King of Mask Singer,’ but it’s not something that anyone can do. Since it’s such a famous show, I felt nervous. I want to advise future contestants to try and not get nervous and show off your skill as much as you can. After all, in front of someone as good as Short-Bobbed Hair, there’s nothing else you can do.”
In the previous episode, Kim Dong Han had sang Taeyang’s “Only Look at Me” with Beware of Talk in Round 1, which he won.
WEi is currently gearing up for a comeback with the new mini album “IDENTITY: Action,” on June 9.
