GOT7's Yugyeom Tops iTunes Charts Around The World With "I Want U Around" Featuring DeVita

GOT7’s Yugyeom’s new song is a hit!

On June 12, iTunes revealed that his pre-released song “I Want U Around” featuring DeVita from his upcoming solo album “Point of View: U” topped the Worldwide iTunes Song Chart. The song soared to No. 1 in 35 countries across the globe, including Thailand, Malaysia, Vietnam, Saudi Arabia, Indonesia, Kenya, El Salvador, Turkey, Brazil, Estonia, UAE, Mongolia, Fiji, Poland, Guatemala, Bahrain, Qatar, Kazakhstan, Taiwan, Peru, India, Singapore, Chile, Paraguay, Colombia, Ecuador, Dominican Republic, Sri Lanka, Argentina, Colombia, Israel, Trinidad and Tobago, Costa Rica, and Oman.

“I Want U Around” also took No. 1 on Genie upon release and stayed at the top until “chart freezing” (the time between 1 a.m. and 7 a.m. KST when real-time charts do not operate). The music video also gained 250,000 views on YouTube within an hour of its release and gained 900,000 views in 19 hours.

“I Want U Around” is one of the seven tracks in “Point of View: U,” and the album will be released on May 17. Check out the music video for “I Want U Around” here!
