Below are three heartbreaking moments from “Revolutionary Sisters”!
Lee Kwang Nam: Fooled by the swindler Hwang Chun Gil
When Hwang Chun Gil (Seo Do Jin) showed Lee Kwang Nam his grand penthouse while attempting to court her, Lee Kwang Nam resolved to marry him. Hwang Chung Gil visited Lee Kwang Nam’s family, and viewers were touched when they revealed that they wanted to hurry the wedding so that Lee Kwang Nam could live under one roof with her family. However, Hwang Chun Gil is a con man who approached Lee Kwang Nam after scheming with Go Woo Jung (Ji Sung Won), the wife of the man Lee Kwang Nam’s mother Oh Maeng Ja had an affair with.
Following Go Woo Jung’s instructions to put Oh Maeng Ja’s family to ruin, Hwang Chun Gil pretended to need Lee Kwang Nam’s bank account. Without having any suspicious, Lee Kwang Nam easily handed over her bankbook to Hwang Chun Gil. Fortunately, however, Bae Byun Ho (Choi Dae Chul) witnessed Hwang Chun Gil and Go Woo Jung walking together with their arms linked.
Lee Kwang Sik: Relationship with Han Ye Seul in danger because of Han Dol Se and Oh Bong Ja
After learning that Han Ye Seul (Kim Kyung Nam) scraped together 50 million won (approximately $44,810) so that she could get divorced, Lee Kwang Sik realized Han Ye Seul’s feelings for her, and the two started dating. Lee Kwang Sik sincerely supported Han Ye Seul’s dream of becoming a trot singer, and Han Ye Seul called Lee Kwang Sik to preview his proposal to her. He stated, “I want to be with you forever.”
However, Lee Kwang Sik’s aunt Oh Bong Ja (Lee Bo Hee) introduced Han Dol Se (Lee Byung Joon) to the sisters as their new uncle. Han Ye Seul expressed his hostility towards the woman Han Dol Se had loved all his life for making his mother die a lonely death, hinting at the trouble the complicated relationship will bring. It remains to be seen if Lee Kwang Sik will realize that Han Dol Se is Han Ye Seul’s father.
Lee Kwang Tae: Persistent Heo Gi Jin and his older brother Heo Poong Jin who hates Lee Kwang Tae
Lee Kwang Tae broke up with Heo Gi Jin (Seol Jung Hwan), but she still called Heo Gi Jin to be her drinking buddy. Upset at her life in comparison to her sisters’, Lee Kwang Tae opened up to him about her feelings. She commented, “I weirdly thought of you because I was feeling down.” Heo Gi Jin replied, “I’m okay with everything, whether it’s being a drinking buddy or a meal buddy.” However, his friend Byun Sa Chae (Go Geon Han) warned Heo Gi Jin that the person Heo Poong Jin (Joo Seok Tae) hates the most is Lee Kwang Tae. Viewers are excited to see if Lee Kwang Tae will find out about Heo Gi Jin’s true identity, and if the two will be able to overcome the relationship barrier created by Heo Poong Jin.
The production team shared that there’s been an outpour of support for the three sisters who are facing hardship after hardship. They asked viewers to continue to look forward to seeing how the sisters will take on each struggle while showing the strength of family.
