The first contestant for Part 2 was Hwang Chi Yeol, who covered Kang Jin’s “Brush” with his powerful voice. Miraclass’s Kim Joo Taek complimented him and said, “It was a true crossover performance, combining both trot and pop genres to create something new on the stage.”

Second to perform were Shin Yu and Shin Mi Rae, who covered Hong Seo Beom and Jo Gap Kyung’s “To You.” Hwang Chi Yeol won this round, as well as the next round against Cheon Dan Bi, who sang the Hee Sisters (which included Kim Hyo Sun) song “Weeping Willow.”

Fourth to perform was the band AboutU, who sang Hee Sisters’ “Where Did You Go that You’re Here Now” (literal translation). The featured artists praised their performance and said, “It was like the Beatles. The sound was so good, it felt like an AboutU song.” However, Hwang Chi Yeol beat them with his third straight win.

Fifth to perform was Na Tae Joo, a taekwondo athlete, a member of K-Tigers Zero, a former child actor, and a trot singer who competed on TV Chosun’s hit audition show “Mister Trot.” He teamed up with actress Ye Ji Won, who acted with him in a movie several years before, to sing Kang Jin’s “A Younger Man.” The two put on an intense performance that was like a dance sports competition and beat out Hwang Chi Yeol to win their round.

Last to perform was Brave Girls, who shed their idol group image and transformed into a rock group to sing Oxen 80 (a band established by Hong Seo Beom)’s “It Is Fire Play” (literal translation). The members electrified the room with their new arrangement and Lee Hyun said in admiration, “I’m sorry, but I’ve completely forgotten the original version.”

Before their performance, Minyoung and Yujeong said, “We’ve never shown a rock version of ourselves. It’s an honor just to be able to sing this song.”

In the end, Na Tae Joo took the final win on this episode.
