Watch: Kim Jong Kook And Song Ji Hyo Talk About Exercising And More On Kim Jong Kook’s New YouTube Channel
In the video, Kim Jong Kook and Song Ji Hyo show off their “Running Man” friendship as they chat about exercising, controlling their diets, their ideal body types, and more.
Kim Jong Kook shared, “I was planning on scouting a pretty location and talking over some good food, but the guest was two hours late. The reason was because she went drinking last night.” Song Ji Hyo stood up and hung her head in apology, quipping, “I was drinking because I was lonely yesterday.”
Song Ji Hyo is starring in the upcoming tving drama “The Witch’s Diner,” and Kim Jong Kook said, “You’re playing a witch, as everyone knows. Are you trying to bulk up for the role?”
Song Ji Hyo shared that she had gained weight recently and said, “Personally, I find diets really challenging because I like food.” Kim Jong Kook joked, “Isn’t it because you like alcohol?” He then revealed, “Starting about 15 years ago, my weight hasn’t changed by more than one or two kilograms (2.2-2.4 pounds).” Song Ji Hyo responded, “Are you human?”
Before getting to the official workout portion, Kim Jong Kook asked Song Ji Hyo if she had an ideal body type in mind. She showed a photo of a foreign model in a bikini and Kim Jong Kook observed, “Are you trying to go for a voluminous figure?”, but she responded, “I don’t think that that would fit my body type. I want to create a figure that has pretty lines.”
Kim Jong Kook advised, “You can create that kind of body type even without going to the gym. As long as you have the determination to watch what you eat and develop your flexibility, then you can create that body. You don’t have to do heavy weightlifting at the gym. To create this kind of body, you can just polish the details of the figure you already have.”
However, Song Ji Hyo shared her love for food and said, “I can feel myself salivating. I think I’m a pretty realistic person. You’re the one who isn’t realistic.”
Kim Jong Kook also shared advice like, “I disagree with people who try to make their bodies just for the summer. Instead of setting the summer as a goal, they should make goals for next year and exercise a little every day. Losing weight should be connected to health rather than to beauty.”
