Starring Park Ji Hoon, Kang Min Ah, and Bae In Hyuk, “At a Distance Spring is Green” is a college campus drama about the realistic concerns and love lives of university students.

Among the various relationships between the students, the dramatic changes in Yeo Joon (Park Ji Hoon) and Nam Soo Hyun’s (Bae In Hyuk’s) relationship have been earning them enthusiastic support from viewers.

Below are three important moments that define their special relationship!

Spoilers

1. A senior and junior who have nothing in common

Yeo Joon grew curious about Nam Soo Hyun when he realized he wasn’t out to get on his good side like everyone else. Despite all of Yeo Joon’s efforts to extend his goodwill to Nam Soo Hyun, he continued to regard him coolly. Angered by the way he was being treated, Yeo Joon asked him, “Do you know enough about me to pass judgement? I was just trying to treat you like a sunbae since your life is pathetic.”

Seeing through the mask that Yeo Joon was wearing, Nam Soo Hyun tried to keep his distance. However, he ended up becoming indebted to Yeo Joon, which led to some uncomfortable situations. Viewers are curious to find out how the pair’s relationship will develop despite their complete lack of common ground.

2. Becoming friends after opening up to each other

Yeo Joon declared to Nam Soo Hyun that he would keep hanging around him and dared him to try and push him away. In order to grow closer to Nam Soo Hyun, Yeo Joon came up with his own plan, which included buying his younger brother an expensive watch. Finding his actions to be a burden, Nam Soo Hyun kept up his frigid demeanor. However, the two boys suddenly grew closer after preparing for a group project together.

Once expressionless, Nam Soo Hyun began smiling at Yeo Joon’s remarks, and the pair began to spend time together like friends during festivals and birthdays. Viewers were thrilled to watch the pair who once bristled at the sight of each other grow into friends who make each other laugh.

3. Sweet words of brotherly affection

After Nam Soo Hyun’s mother’s health deteriorated, he even considered dropping out of school. When Yeo Joon found out about his hardships, he offered financial help through Nam Soo Hyun’s younger brother. Rather than being upset at the offer, Nam Soo Hyun expressed his gratitude. What’s more, he even told Yeo Joon, “I’ve never hated you,” bringing comfort to the boy who suffered from a lack of affection.

When Nam Soo Hyun was chased out of the break room in the kitchen where he had been sleeping, he wandered the streets aimlessly and was found by Yeo Joon, who offered to let him stay in his own house. The sight of Yeo Joon, who had never received love from his family, extending a helping hand to Nam Soo Hyun brought viewers to tears and left them with even more anticipation for how their relationship will continue to develop.

“At a Distance Spring is Green” airs every Monday and Tuesday at 9:30 p.m. KST.
