Watch: BLACKPINK’s Rosé, AKMU’s Lee Suhyun, SHINee’s Onew, And More Perform Sweet Covers + Rosé Shows Her Piano And Guitar Skills
BLACKPINK’s Rosé appeared again on JTBC’s new variety show “Sea of Hope” as a part-time employee.
“Sea of Hope” is a show in which celebrities perform music and prepare homemade dishes for guests at a seaside bar. The cast includes Lee Dong Wook, Kim Go Eun, Lee Ji Ah, SHINee’s Onew, AKMU’s Lee Suhyun, and Yoon Jong Shin, and various celebrity guests also come to perform and work part-time.
The July 13 episode showed the end of the seaside bar’s first night of business. Yoon Jong Shin and AKMU’s Lee Suhyun sang a beautiful cover of “Endless Love.” Yoon Jong Shin explained that they were singing it from the perspective of a father and a daughter, as Yoon Jong Shin is actually one year older than Lee Suhyun’s father.
Yoon Jong Shin, Lee Suhyun, and SHINee’s Onew performed Jung In’s “Uphill,” and when the customers requested an encore, the three also sang “Isn’t She Lovely.”
The next day, Rosé joined the cast members at the dorm, with Lee Suhyun showing her around and suggesting that she join the cooking team with Lee Ji Ah and Onew. Later, Rosé lightened the mood by playing a little piano music (Yiruma’s “River Flows in You”) for the cast members. She also sang Paramore’s “The Only Exception” with her own guitar accompaniment. Other performances from this afternoon session included Lee Suhyun’s “Beach Again” (originally by SSAK3), Onew’s “Road to Me” (Sung Si Kyung), and Rosé’s “Because I Love You” (Yoo Jae Ha).
