4 Characters In "The Penthouse 3" Who Are Gearing Up For Cathartic Revenge

Can these four “The Penthouse 3” characters launch a counterattack on the villains who have turned their world upside down?

“The Penthouse 3” is the third and final season of the show about the ambitions and desires of a group of people who live in an ultra-wealthy penthouse apartment building.

In episode 6, Cheon Seo Jin (Kim So Yeon) rose to the position of inaugural director of the Cheongah Arts Center, while Joo Dan Tae (Uhm Ki Joon) promoted his new business project in the Cheonsu District through illegal solicitation. Meanwhile, Kang Ma Ri (Shin Eun Kyung) learned that her husband, Yoo Dong Pil (Park Ho San) had been threatened by Joo Dan Tae, and decided to pull out the hidden card up her sleeve that she can only use once in her life. Shim Soo Ryeon (Lee Ji Ah) showed her cold-blooded determination for revenge by getting a butterfly tattoo engraved on her shoulder.

Bae Ro Na (Kim Hyun Soo) and Logan Lee (Park Eun Suk), who are in conflict with Cheon Seo Jin and Ha Eun Byul (Choi Ye Bin), have also survived, leading to questions about where their characters will go from now on.

Bae Ro Na

When Ha Eun Byul asked for her help, Bae Ro Na hid Ha Eun Byul in her house and saved her from Jin Boon Hong (Ahn Yeon Hong). But after Oh Yoon Hee (Eugene)’s death, Ha Eun Byul was given a drug that made her forget everything, including Bae Ro Na’s help. As a result, Ha Eun Byul turned on Bae Ro Na and said, “Your mother kidnapped me and tried to kill me.” Furious, Bae Ro Na replied, “I’m going to clear my mother’s name and drag you out of Seoul National University. Whatever I do now, it’s your fault from now on.”

Six months later, she warned Cheon Seo Jin, who was trying to block her audition, “Ahjumma, no matter how you try to stand in my way, I never give up. I’m going to step on Ha Eun Byul and rise to the top. I’m going to prove to the whole world that my talent isn’t fake.” Viewers are hoping that Bae Ro Na, who has endured several misfortunes throughout three seasons of the show, will live up to her bold words and achieve cathartic revenge through her success.

Kang Ma Ri

After Kang Ma Ri learned that Yoo Dong Pil had disposed of Oh Yoon Hee’s corpse in the body after being threatened by Joo Dan Tae, Kang Ma Ri went to Shim Soo Ryeon and confessed the whole truth to her. She begged the other woman to let her help in uncovering the injustice of Oh Yoon Hee’s death. “I have a card that I only play once in my life,” she said. “I’ll use it for her.”

This “card” was for saving the life of Chairman Song (Jung Ah Mi), and Kang Ma Ri used it to ask for the CCTV footage of the criminal’s face of the car crash in Gimpo. Chairman Song got the required footage and offered a substantial reward for anyone who can find the criminal in 24 hours. As a result, Kang Ma Ri found the evidence that Joo Dan Tae was in Gimpo at the time. Can she use it to achieve meaningful justice?

Logan Lee

After his presumed death at the end of season two, Logan Lee was recently revealed to have survived the explosion that blew up his car. Cheon Seo Jin, who suspected Joo Dan Tae would try to kill Logan Lee, ordered her secretary (Kim Do Hyun) to secretly hand Baek Joon Gi (On Joo Wan) a bag full of broken bones and move Logan Lee to an ambulance right after the explosion. To keep her involvement a secret, Cheon Seo Jin ordered Ha Yoon Chul (Yoon Jong Hoon) to treat Logan Lee for his injuries. Why did Cheon Seo Jin keep Logan Lee alive? How will his survival affect the rest of the characters?

Shim Soo Ryeon

After learning of Oh Yoon Hee’s death at the hands of Joo Dan Tae, Shim Soo Ryeon declared, “There’s no meaning in pursuing justice from the law. I lost all the people who were dear to me while trusting in the toothless law. Only evil can fight evil. Hell isn’t just a place you go after you die.” Recalling Oh Yoon Hee’s wish that Shim Soo Ryeon could live as confidently as Na Ae Gyo, her doppelganger, Shim Soo Ryeon gets Na Ae Gyo’s butterfly tattoo shoulder on her shoulder and meets the other woman’s old contacts. Can she leverage her new identity into destroying Joo Dan Tae once and for all?
