BTS Sets Personal Record + TXT, BLACKPINK, SEVENTEEN, And TWICE Claim Top Spots On Billboard's World Albums Chart
BTS has broken a personal record on Billboard’s World Albums chart!
According to Billboard, “Map of the Soul: 7” is now officially the BTS album that has spent the most weeks at No. 1 on the World Albums chart. For the week ending on July 24, “Map of the Soul: 7” successfully held onto its spot at No. 1, marking its 32nd non-consecutive week at the top of the chart and breaking BTS’s previous record of 31 weeks set by their 2018 album “Love Yourself: Answer.”
“Map of the Soul: 7” included, BTS landed an impressive total of seven albums in the top 15 this week. “BE” charted at No. 3, “Love Yourself: Tear” at No. 10, “Love Yourself: Her” at No. 11, “Map of the Soul: Persona” at No. 12, “Love Yourself: Answer” at No. 13, and “Skool Luv Affair” at No. 14.
Meanwhile, TXT’s “The Chaos Chapter: FREEZE” stayed strong at No. 4 in its seventh week on the chart. The album also climbed back up several other charts this week, including the Billboard 200, where it extended its own record as the longest-charting K-pop album of the year.
BLACKPINK’s “THE ALBUM” rose to No. 6 in its 41st week on the chart, while SEVENTEEN’s “Your Choice” jumped up to No. 7 in its fourth. Finally, TWICE’s “Taste of Love” came in at No. 9 in its fifth week.
