Yoo Jae Suk And Jo Se Ho Come Into Contact With COVID-19 Case + “The Sixth Sense 2” And “Running Man” Recordings Canceled
On July 23, Yoo Jae Suk’s agency, Antenna, stated, “After a staff member on tvN’s ‘You Quiz on the Block’ was diagnosed with COVID-19, Yoo Jae Suk and his staff members all went to get tested for COVID-19. As of today, Yoo Jae Suk is in self-quarantine according to the disease control authorities’ guidelines, and he is waiting for his test results. We are currently adjusting his planned schedule.”
Jo Se Ho’s agency, Image 9 Communications, stated, “Jo Se Ho, who has been vaccinated, tested himself with a self-test kit and it came out negative. He then went to get tested at a testing center and is waiting for more detailed results. The testing center informed him that the results will determine whether he needs to self-quarantine.”
“You Quiz on the Block” confirmed that a staff member who had participated in the July 21 recording of the show had tested positive for COVID-19. As a result, all the staff and cast members were tested for COVID-19 and are awaiting their results. The show has canceled its upcoming recordings for the next two weeks, and the changed broadcast schedule will be announced later.
Yoo Jae Suk also appears on the tvN variety show “The Sixth Sense 2.” The show stated that since Yoo Jae Suk will be in self-quarantine, the recording for “The Sixth Sense 2” that had been planned for July 24 was now canceled. The entire “The Sixth Sense 2” team will take a break from recording for two weeks.
Another of Yoo Jae Suk’s shows, SBS’s “Running Man,” stated, “We have canceled the recording that was planned for next week. We will wait for his test results for the time being, but since we’re not airing right now due to the Tokyo Olympics, we don’t expect to have major issues with broadcasting changes.”
MBC’s “How Do You Play?”, which also stars Yoo Jae Suk, previously announced a three-week hiatus due to the Olympics and is not expected to be affected by the self-quarantine measures.
