"Imitation" Ends On Ratings Rise As "Voice 4" Remains No. 1
KBS 2TV’s “Imitation” has come to an end!
On July 23, the idol drama aired its final episode—and while “Imitation” has seen relatively low ratings throughout its run, the series finale enjoyed a rise in viewership from its previous episode.
According to Nielsen Korea, the final broadcast of “Imitation” earned an average nationwide rating of 1.2 percent, marking an increase from its 0.5 percent rating from last week. Though not a lofty figure, the finale’s ratings came close to the drama’s all-time high of 1.3 percent from June.
Meanwhile, tvN’s “Voice 4” stayed strong with an average nationwide rating of 3.8 percent for its latest episode. The drama also remained first place in its time slot across all channels—even including public broadcast networks—among the key demographic of viewers ages 20 to 49, with whom it scored a nationwide average of 2.7 percent and a peak of 3.3 percent.
SBS’s “The Penthouse 3” did not air on July 23 due to coverage of the 2020 Summer Olympics opening ceremony.
