BTS's "Permission To Dance" Takes No. 1; Soompi's K-Pop Music Chart 2021, July Week 4
BTS maintained the top spot but with a different song this week! Last week, “Butter” climbed back up to No. 1, but it has been replaced by their latest song “Permission to Dance” this week with a perfect score! This song has won four music shows so far. Congratulations again to BTS!
“Permission to Dance” is an English-language song co-written by Ed Sheeran, Steve Mac, Johnny McDaid, and Jenna Andrews. The lively dance pop song expresses, “We don’t need permission to dance.”
Holding on to No. 2 is TWICE’s “Alcohol-Free.” Rounding out the top three and moving back up one spot is aespa’s “Next Level.”
There is one more song that newly entered the top 10 this week. Moving up three spots to No. 10 is Lee Mujin’s “Rain and You,” the first single released for the OST of the hit tvN drama “Hospital Playlist 2.” A remake of Park Joong Hoon’s song from 2006, Lee Mujin’s version has a retro acoustic band sound.
