Ji Chang Wook Tests Positive For COVID-19 + Drama Co-Stars Test Negative

After Ji Chang Wook was diagnosed with COVID-19, his drama co-stars also went to get tested.

Ji Chang Wook is starring in Netflix’s “The Sound of Magic,” which also stars Choi Sung Eun and Hwang In Yeop. The drama halted filming after hearing of Ji Chang Wook’s diagnosis.

Later, Netflix confirmed that Ji Chang Wook and one staff member had tested positive for COVID-19 and said that filming would be paused until it was safe to resume. In the meantime, all the staff and cast members would be tested for the virus, and would be tested again when it was time to resume filming.

Choi Sung Eun and Hwang In Yeop’s agencies confirmed that the two actors had both been preemptively tested for COVID-19 and that their results came back negative.

Ji Chang Wook is confirmed to have been diagnosed with COVID-19.

On July 26, a source from his agency Glorious Entertainment revealed to SPO TV News, “Ji Chang Wook has tested positive for COVID-19. In accordance with health authority guidelines, he is in quarantine and receiving treatment.”

Ji Chang Wook has been filming for the Netflix original series “The Sound of Magic,” which also stars Hwang In Yeop and Choi Sung Eun. According to JTBC News, the drama’s production staff and cast members are all being tested for COVID-19 and will have to halt filming for the time being.
