Kim Yong Gun Releases Statement To Share That He Reconciled With His Pregnant Girlfriend

Actor Kim Yong Gun shared that he has reconciled with his pregnant girlfriend (hereafter referred to as “A”).

Previously, Dispatch reported that for the past 13 years, Kim Yong Gun had been involved with A, who is 39 years younger than him. After meeting at a drama wrap party in 2008, the two reportedly carried on a secret relationship for over a decade.

According to Dispatch, conflict arose between the couple in March, when A became pregnant and Kim Yong Gun opposed the idea of her giving birth to the child. A filed a criminal lawsuit against the actor on the charge of attempting to force her into an abortion, and Kim Yong Gun responded to the reports.

On August 12, Kim Yong Gun released a statement through his law firm Ari Yul that reads as follows:

Hello, this is Kim Yong Gun. First of all, I would like to apologize for causing concern to everyone who must have been very surprised and disappointed by this incident.

Over the past few days, I had a sincere conversation with the mother-to-be, whom I had been with for a long time. Through the conversation, I reflected on the fact that I did not properly see how hurt she must have been and apologized once again.

I will do my best for the child to be born as well as the mother-to-be so that she will give a healthy childbirth. Lastly, I’d like to express my apology to all the people who have trusted and loved me for a long time.
