CIX Talks About Releasing Their First Full Album, Participating In Production And Choreography, And More

CIX is back with their first full-length album!

On August 17, CIX held a showcase for the release of their album “‘OK’ Prologue : Be OK,” their first comeback since February. This album kicks off their newest “OK” series that will convey messages of youth, sins, and salvation.

BX commented, “This is the album that opens the doors to our ‘OK’ series. I’m excited at the idea of showcasing a new image. As it’s our first full-length album, we prepared very diligently.” Yonghee added, “It’s an album that tells various stories regarding youth.”

Seunghun shared, “The ‘HELLO‘ series portrayed our friends being placed in a hell-like situation and the ‘OK’ series draws their experience searching for a breakthrough. Even if the five of us take a small stride, this is an album that shows us steadily growing and evolving. Just like how our journey up until now has come together to become this full-length album, we will work hard to start this new journey.”

Bae Jin Young explained their title track “WAVE” by sharing, “It’s a different image from ‘Cinema.’ We all thought that this song was really good so we wanted to quickly share it. As we are so confident, we hope our fans trust us and enjoy our performances with us.” Hyunsuk added, “Since it’s an exciting song, I think our fans will be able to have fun with us. Jin Young actively participated in making and improving the choreography and we were able to create a very high-quality performance.”

CIX’s full-length album includes a total of 10 songs, and BX, who participated in every B-side track, shared, “It was such an honor to be able to work with such incredible producers through this great opportunity. Up until now, I mostly worked on music by myself but through this opportunity, I learned a lot more. I want to write many more songs that capture our unique color.”

To conclude, Seunghoon commented, “Our fans always tell us, ‘At our own pace.’ We want to share our story with many others at our own pace.”
