VERIVERY's Gyehyeon To Sit Out Parts Of Comeback Showcase & Potentially More Due To Injury

VERIVERY’s Gyehyeon will not be able to fully participate in the group’s upcoming comeback showcase due to an unexpected injury.

On August 21, Jellyfish Entertainment announced that Gyehyeon had recently injured his foot while preparing for VERIVERY’s impending comeback. The group is currently gearing up to return with their new mini album “SERIES ‘O’ [ROUND 2 : HOLE]” on August 23.

The agency’s full statement is as follows:

Hello, this is Jellyfish Entertainment.

We are making an announcement regarding the activities of VERIVERY member Gyehyeon.

Gyehyeon recently injured his foot during comeback preparations, and after seeking out a medical specialist, he underwent thorough examination and treatment.

Fortunately, the results of his examination showed that his injury was not serious, but the doctor advised that he should minimize his activity for the time being. Therefore, though Gyehyeon will appear at VERIVERY’s comeback showcase on August 23, he will inevitably not be able to fully participate in performances that involve choreography.

As for his scheduled activities following the showcase, he will participate as usual once we have seen his progress and consulted his doctor.

We have come to this decision in order to focus on our artist’s recovery, so we ask for fans’ generous understanding, and we will do our utmost to help Gyehyeon recover quickly.

Thank you.

We hope Gyehyeon makes a speedy recovery!
