Shin Min Ah And Kim Seon Ho Share 3 Reasons To Tune In To

tvN will be unveiling its new drama “Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha” tonight!

A remake of the film “Mr. Hong,” the romance drama stars Shin Min Ah as Yoon Hye Jin, a dentist who moves from Seoul to the seaside village of Gongjin, and Kim Seon Ho as Hong Doo Shik, an odd-jobs expert who helps everyone around town. Lee Sang Yi plays Ji Sung Hyun, a variety show PD known for creating warm content about people’s everyday lives.

Shin Min Ah and Kim Seon Ho unveiled three reasons to watch “Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha”:

1. A “healing” drama that is like a short break from a tiring daily life

One key reason to look forward to “Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha” is the diverse stories on it. Not only will the drama include the sweet romance between a dentist and an odd-jobs expert, but it will also share pleasant and hear-warming stories of the villagers living in Gongjin. It will be especially exciting to see the process of how Yoon Hye Jin, who was optimized for urban life, comes down to Gongjin after many incidents in her life and falls in love with Hong Doo Shik as she tries to adjust to life in the seaside village.

On top of that, viewers will be able to immerse into the joyful and sorrowful stories of the innocent villagers with unique personalities. This is the reason why “Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha” isn’t just labeled as a romance drama but also a healing one. Just as Lee Sang Yi said during the press conference, this will be a warm weekend drama that viewers will be able to comfortably watch after wrapping up their busy week.

2. The actors’ fantastic chemistry

Shin Min Ah shared, “I hope the viewers will look forward to the chemistry of the actors. I think the chemistry of the many characters in the drama will be fun. I wish the viewers can focus on that.” Kim Seon Ho added, “The bickering chemistry of the Gongjin villagers is one of the key reasons [to watch the drama]. There are many unique and attractive characters, so the viewers will feel like time is flying by when they watch the drama.”

They chose the actor’s chemistry as a key point because the process of Yoon Hye Jin adjusting to Gongjin and the strong bond between Hong Doo Shik and the villagers play a crucial role in enriching the story. With characters ranging from little kids to elderly women in their 80s, the drama is expected to show the warmth of humans.

3. The feeling of traveling to a clean sea village every weekend

The main setting of “Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha” is Gongjin, and it is such an important place that it can be considered another main character in the drama. The production team traveled around the country to find the perfect spot for the drama and ultimately decided to film in Pohang. Pohang’s emerald sea and beautiful, natural scenery will highlight the visual attractiveness of the drama.

Kim Seon Ho remarked, “Everywhere I look, it’s beautiful, and I become healed. It will be fun to watch the outdoor set in Pohang that was created to appear as if Gongjin really exists.”

Lastly, the two lead actors shared messages for the viewers. Shin Min Ah commented, “It’s a drama that I’m looking forward to as much as I’m having fun filming. We’ll have fun until the end of the shoot, so please anticipate it a lot and give us a lot of support.” Kim Seon Ho said, “‘Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha’ will come and heal viewers who are tired of their daily lives. Please give us a lot of love. See you at the first episode.”
