FTISLAND's Minhwan Officially Discharged From Military Service

FTISLAND’s Minhwan is back from military service!

In February 2020, Minhwan began his mandatory military service in the full-time reserve forces. These reserve forces commute from home during their service and serve in the area related to homeland defence. Those who are raising a child and want to be considered for the full-time reserve forces can apply through the Military Manpower Administration.

Minhwan married former LABOUM member Yulhee in 2018 and the two had a son that same year. They also have twin daughters who were born in February 2020, the same month as his enlistment.

On September 2, FNC Entertainment confirmed that Minhwan had been discharged early from his service that day. In order to prevent the spread of COVID-19, soldiers are being discharged early after their last holiday so that they do not have to return to base before being discharged.

With Minhwan’s discharge, all the current members of FTISLAND have now completed their mandatory military service.

On Instagram, Minhwan wrote, “Hello, this is Minhwan! Finally, the discharge date has arrived… Thank you to the Pri[madonna]s who waited for me. I will soon greet you along with the other members with good music and performances! Let’s go!”
